Extreme bridal wear? Stéphane Rolland- enough is said. The remarkable designer is renowned especially for his eccentric bridal dresses which immediately imprint upon the viewers mind and distinguishes him thoroughly from the rest of the courtiers.

Rolland’s successful catwalk show revealed a complete deviation from the traditional and the conventional by his decision to opt for a conspicuously radiant red bridal gown which was both conservative and sensual. The courtier aspired to inject a sufficient amount of drama into the show in order to achieve a certain climax. Needless to say, he managed to do so perfectly well. The length and form of the bright red dress is perhaps what made it so delicate and simultaneously electric.

Yasmin Le Bon had the honour to be the chosen one, as Stéphane Rolland believed her to be “the obvious choice” to showcase his work of art. Her beauty, candor and values won over the designer almost immediately as he envisioned an instant impact through the contrast of her noble qualities with the pleasant soft rock background.

An interesting addition was the two men escorting Yasmin Le Bon through the catwalk. The purpose was both aesthetic and utilitarian- the dress after all weighed 110 pounds! Furthermore, the combination of the two male models with Le Bon in the dainty flaming dress tinged the show with the idea of romanticism (which was exactly what it needed to establish perfect harmony).

Stéphane Rolland profoundly believes that in order to accomplish an element of surprise and wholesomeness, the elegant clothes need to be incorporated with an ideal atmosphere and the right models. It is evident that the designer has fulfilled his goal as the show was unquestionably captivating.
