We start the day with sad news for the fashion industry this morning, WWD reported that Betsey Johnson, the beloved eclectic designer has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy, leaving 63 stores closed and over 400 employees let go over the next few weeks. This sad news comes as a surprise to many; the beloved designer aged nearly 70 will still remain on designing lower end collections for high street brands such as Macy's.

London will now house a menswear fashion week, running between the 15th - 17th of June rather than cramming all menswear designers in one 'MAN' day. What is being described as a good move for LFW resulting in designers such as a Pringle of Scotland, Margaret Howell, Thom Browne, Jonathan Saunders returning to showcase their new collections along with younger lines such as JW Anderson, Topman, BOY London, we're lucky to even have a teaser trailer here

Helmut Lang announced that the brand will be launching a diffusion line titled 'HELMUT', the line will consist simply of the most basic silhouettes priced moderately between 95$ to 215$, the preview images showcase some outfits which do not differ greatly from the main Helmut Lang line, or Alexander Wang's diffusion line for the matter, the diffusion line will be hitting stores this May.
