With a definite aim to source out new blood, we headed out to Vauxhall Fashion Scout this season alongside to the London Fashion Week shows for a series of upcoming designer shows and exhibitions which did not disappoint. While many critics still diss the London Fashion Week for being un-commercial and too trendy we believe that the new blood seem to be doing it right, sceptic at first of what we were going to be fed we were pleasantly surprised with what Vauxhall Fashion Scout had to offer and we will be definitely returning for more in the future seasons.

Here are our favourite SS13 collections from London Fashion Week

Aminaka Wilmont

Floral Scandinavian goth chic, a very cool collection which left us wanting for more. Lovely details on floral print, very great styling and what could become a new trend, matching floral temporary tattoos on the models (and on the guests watching).

Sister by Sibling

One of the freshest of the main schedule shows was Sister by Sibling, a fun yet experimental aesthetic which still could be taken seriously, great silhouettes, loved the masks, feels like the British quirky equivalent to Maison Martin Margiela. We're fans, both this collection and their previous menswear collection left us impressed.

And our favourites from Vauxhall Fashion Scout

Yifang Wan

Great angular dresses, lovely belts and accessories, a very fresh and clean aesthetic which is always a welcome change in LFW.

Phoebe English

Phoebe English is set for a great future, despite the accessories reminding us greatly of Tisci's collection for Givenchy the collection was solid and current.

Hana Cha

The vitality of Hana Cha's collection was welcome, while playing a sombre colour tone, the outfits were nothing as close, lively and demure we loved Hana Cha's flirty pieces.

Hellen Van Rees

A show one would expect from LFW, with elements lovely details in the intricate pieces yet being highly eccentric, reminded us slightly of Craig Green's SS 13 collection, another upcoming great designer.

Timur Kim

Timur Kim was out to sell, with a lovely collection which was demure and sexy. Playing with print on silk outfits had element of denim yet moved fluidly on the models.

Ming Pin Tien

Highly sellable neutral pieces with amazing styling, looing beyond the leather bodices Ming Pin Tien created his collection was a great move from his previous one, reaching out to more wearable clothes yet keeping his eccentric flair.

Zeynep Tosun

We loved Zeynep Tosun. A strong, modern and slightly rough woman walked down the runway. Pieces we loved were the studded visors. One of the most solid designers at VFS.

Other designers worth noting:

Patrick Li: Similar to Hellen Van Rees, Li plays with depth and texture in his pieces, supposedly inspired by the nerd look his dresses are meant to resemble the texture of books, a fun and playful concept. Charlotte Simpson: Elegant and pretty. The Charlotte Simpson woman is a strong woman, with lovely silhouettes we're not surprised she was listed in the ones to watch.
